　　Conventional heart surgery requires a 30-cm incision from the center of the chest, which sometimes hurts the patient. However, the method invented by Wang Dongjin only needs to make a 6-8 cm incision in the armpit and perform the operation with a endoscope.

I remember that there were patients who refused to cooperate with the operation because they were afraid that the incision of the traditional method was too large. 　　75-year-old Mr. Yancheng He, with a serious heart disease and 95% aortic occlusion, may die suddenly at any time. Because of hyperthyroidism and pleurisy, he waited in other hospitals for more than two months and spent nearly 20 thousand yuan without surgery. He came to the Drum Tower Hospital in the middle of nowhere. When Wang Dongjin saw that he was in critical condition, he was admitted immediately. His family members were afraid of delaying time again and worrying about the failure of the operation, so they quietly stuffed a red envelope. Four days later, the operation was a complete success. Wang Dongjin took out a red envelope: "If you don’t accept it before surgery, I am afraid that you have concerns. Now it is time to return it."

　　Since August, 2012, the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery of Gulou Hospital, led by Wang Dongjin, has cooperated with Shenhua Love Fund to help children with congenital heart disease from poor families to complete medical rehabilitation.

　　According to incomplete statistics, so far, more than 100 children in Gulou Hospital have been the beneficiaries of the "Shenhua Love Action" public welfare project, including babies who are a few months old and teenagers who are about to grow up in high school. They come from rural areas in Jiangsu and Anhui, and some families of children in Fujian and Zhejiang have also traveled thousands of miles.

　　More than half of these children are children with complex congenital heart disease, including complete transposition of the great arteries, tetralogy of Fallot, severe valve dysplasia (such as severe stenosis of pulmonary valve), severe pulmonary hypertension and other critically ill children with congenital heart disease.
