CCTV News:By the end of 2020, the Ministry of Transport has set up 187 emergency rescue stations along China’s coastal areas and the Yangtze River trunk lines, and the layout of emergency rescue bases and stations has basically taken shape.
Not long ago, a cold wave and strong wind swept across the country. The bulk carrier "Jinhangyu 10", which was working at sea in Yantai, Shandong Province, was stranded by a sudden strong wind of magnitude 7, and 16 people on board were in danger.
After more than two hours of close cooperation between the Ministry of Transport and rescuers in Shandong Province, the 16 people on the ship in distress were successfully transferred safely.
By the end of 2020, China has established four rescue flying teams in Yantai, Shanghai, Xiamen and Guangzhou, which can cover the key coastal waters of China. While increasing the maritime rescue force, an integrated mechanism for cruise rescue on the Yangtze River will be built. An emergency rescue station is set up every 20 kilometers along the Yangtze River trunk line, which can quickly rescue ships in distress within a few minutes.
